Mysterland VS EDC NY

As of today both Mysteryland USA and EDC New York released their lineups. Which just so happens as BOTH of these outstanding festivals land on the same weekend, Memorial Day weekend AND in or around New York. The question is, which one will YOU be at? Let's break it down.

Mysteryland has been around for quite a while with its original home being in Chile. This is also the very first time Mysteryland is being brought to the states and at the historic '69 Woodstock site. HOW AWESOME WOULD IT BE TO PARTY ON THE SAME GROUND AS THE HIPPIES?? With the production looking like a miniature Tomorrowland and people from around the world planning to attend it makes the decision harder for festival goers. Now let me tell you, the lineup is nothing short of AH AH AMAZING. With the amazing talented Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Fedde Le Grand, Showtek, Chase & Status, Moby, & Kaskade. To also add an EXTRA punch of music if not already knocked the fuck out they added "The Sound of Q-Dance" for all you hardstyle fiends craving a faster BPM. With artists like Noisecontrollers & Wildstylez this festival sure has me sold with just that stage. And did I mention that there is onsite camping??YEAH. The dates for Mysteryland are May 23-26 but the actual festival will be May 24 & 25. Festival hours are from 12PM-2AM both Saturday & Sunday, kind of a bummer considering most of the fun takes place in the wee hours of the night (right?). GA passes are $199, then $219. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Now onto Electric Daisy Carnival New York. EDC NY will be continuing it's home at the MetLife Stadium which isn't REALLY in New York but in New Jersey (LOL). The lineup contains some of the scenes pioneering artists like Afrojack, Sander Van Doorn, Headhunterz, John Digweed, Calvin Harris, & Boys Noize. And that's not even the HALF of it. YES, there WILL be carnival rides for all you adrenaline junkies. Now EDC NY doesn't have the onsite camping. GA passes start at $213 and the festival hours are from 12PM-11PM. Just 2 hours short of Mysteryland.

Now to make a decision...personally I think I would rather make the trip out to Mysteryland simply because it's more "affordable", THEY FRIKEN HAVE CAMPING, it's a longer running festival in terms of the hours& days, and the lineup is way more diverse. But the decision lands on you my friend, either way whichever festival you choose to attend be safe and rave on little plur child.

HOLY SHIP! more like holy shit I wish I was there.

Yesterday Gary Richards, creator and owner of Hard Events announced the official dates, token info, and video of the aftermath that was the 3rd installment of HOLY SHIP! and let me just say that it looks like one hell of a party. For those of you who live under a rock, HOLY SHIP! is a 4 day festival on a BOAT which also later takes place on a private island in the Bahamas. Next years HOLY SHIP! is set to have not one but TWO sailings, one in January and the other in February. The "OG" Holy Shippers are able to purchase tickets within next week but "newcomers" have to register into a lottery that if chosen you can pre-book your cabin for next year. That exclusivity makes me want to infiltrate this ship EVEN MORE. I mean c'mon? who doesn't want to be stuck on a ship for 4 days with Dillon Francis, ZEDD, Brodinski, Alvin Risk, Baauer, and Duck Sauce?? I would DIE. But don't take my word for it, watch the official recap video while crying and promising yourself that you will go next year. Here are some pictures from last year and the years before of this saintly ship party.
